Installation

Easy to Install

A split frame's required, but that's about it. If you've ever installed a chain, you're ready to enjoy the quiet revolution of CDS. After that, you can forget about chain lubes. You can leave your spare links and chain tools behind. Just hop on the bike, feel the sun on your face and the wind in your hair. You've just shifted to a whole new gear. Viva la quiet revolution.

Carbon Drive Systems Calculator

This calculator is used to find the closest stock combination of pulleys and belts that achieve the same gear ratio of an existing (or designed) drive on a bicycle. It also does a few calculations that are of interest to bike builders (gear inches, development, and gain ratio) for the selected solution.

Installing Your Belt

1. Open rear triangle (methods vary by manufacturer.)
2. Insert belt through rear triangle opening.

3. Hang belt over bottom bracket.
4. Close rear triangle opening.

5. Place belt on or behind rear pulley.

6. Place wheel into rear dropouts.
7. Minimize distance between bottom bracket and rear axle (methods vary by manufacturer).

8. Place belt onto pulleys.
9. Adjust belt tension and wheel alignment to manufacturer's recommendations.
